Shimano SLX DC Baitcasting Reels

Built on the same compact, rigid and versatile platform as the popular SLX low-profile baitcasting reel, the SLX DC utilizes Shimano’s unique Digital Control (DC) braking technology. The I-DC4 braking offers four adjustable settings to enable anglers to masterfully fish a wide variety of lures and line types no matter the conditions. The SLX DC also incorporates Shimano’s HAGANE Body to assure the reel is rigid and durable, enabling smooth yet strong cranking power. The SLX DC features a 48mm handle to provide anglers with added torque and power when reeling. The SLX DC is available in three gear ratios — in both right- and left-handed models — to meet an angler’s fishing style and technique: 6.3:1, 7.2:1 (HG), and 8.2:1 (XG). This variety of gear ratios allows anglers to pick the model that fits their fishing style best: slow and methodical, or cover water with speed. No matter the situation, the Shimano SLX DC low-profile reel elevates casting performance for even the most experienced anglers while also drastically reducing the learning curve for those anglers still honing their baitcasting reel skills.
